10 Tips to Getting a Last Minute Summer Body


Before Spring Break you’ll hit the gym really hard and eat very healthy. Then after Spring Break has come and gone you’ll most likely to resort to the same routine ways of eating and exercising, not realizing that summer is only two months away. Now you may look up and feel like it’s too late to get summertime fine, but it’s not with these ten simple tips.

 

1) Protein Mornings
Protein makes you feel fuller for a longer period of time. So, consuming a lot of protein in the morning burns fat and also suppresses your appetite for the rest of the day.

2) 3-Hour Rule
The 3-Hour Rule is applied throughout your entire day. You should eat a small meal every three hours to keep your metabolism high and active so your body can burn more calories. The 3-Hour Rule is also applied before bedtime. You should stop eating within three hours of going to sleep so that your body has time to burn off everything you’ve consumed throughout the day before going to bed. There is a third area throughout your day when the 3-Hour Rule can be applied, but this one is optional because it kicks things up a notch. When you eat something, try to work those calories off within 3 hours before your body has time to digest them.


3) Detox Water
Detox water will help release any extra bloating that you may have, which leaves your stomach flatter for your bikini. The best detox waters should be infused with cucumbers, lemons, and ginger.

4) Two-a-Days
Although, you may not be a football player you have to prepare for kick-off. Summer is approaching fast and if you want to be ready for the season-opener you should add two-a-days to your workout routine. Working out twice a day may seem like a drag, but it’s not when you split it up. Workout for an hour in the morning and an hour at night. The morning workout should be pretty light and then in the evening hit the treadmill at full-speed to burn off all of those calories from the day.

5) Cut The Salt
Salt is a natural way to bloat yourself and that is the last thing you want when trying to attain your last minute summer body. By decreasing your salt intake you will notice a difference in your energy level and your body.

6) The Rule of the Hand
The thing that prevents people from losing weight is more so the portion-size than it is the type of food. That is why whatever you are eating should be the portion size of the fist, no more and no less. That way you can ensure that you are getting the proper nutrients, but also correct portions.

7) Alcohol Break
Take a break from your wine, vodka, gin, and especially beer! Alcohol not only bloats you, but it is also full of empty calories. The margarita that you love can be full of as much as 800 calories. So, cut out the alcohol and once you get your summer body you’ll deserve the strawberry margarita.

8) Crunches
Crunches are your best friends when it comes to getting your summer body. Although, you may not be able to get perfect abs in the last minute, a few hundred crunches a day can begin defining the lines of your hidden six-pack.

9) Low-Carbs
Carbs are every bathing suit’s enemy. They will make you gain weight quicker than you can say swimsuit cover. If you want to get your summer body before winter then you’ll have to cut the carbs by a majority percentage.

10) Embrace Your Body
The last and most important tip to getting a last minute summer body is embracing your own body. At the end of the day, what exactly is the perfect summer body? Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and it is important to embrace whatever size or shape yours is.
