What about those in private schools?
Private schools had the option to be part of the program. The school and the state end up splitting up to $6,000 in tuition costs. In Western New York, only Canisius, Hilbert, Niagara, Alfred University, and Trocaire College decided to take part.
Is there a G.P.A. requirement you need to maintain in order to keep the scholarship?
The answer is, yes. As a student, you’re required to maintain a grade point average necessary for the successful completion of your coursework. So, it can’t get so low that you’re kicked out of school — it’s based on the rules of your college.
