Brief Description:

The Washington Center now happy to invite applications for its Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Master Fellowship. The fellowship program is open to graduate students with financial support, mentoring and professional development to prepare them academically and professionally for a career with the U.S. Department of State. The fellowship is giving in the field of Foreign Service such as business administration, economics, public policy, international affairs, and other relevant fields.

Host Institution:

The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, less formally known as The Washington Center, is an independent, nonprofit organization serving hundreds of universities in the United States and other countries.It provides selected college students challenging opportunities to work and learn in Washington D.C. for academic credit.

Eligibility:

Applicants for the fellowship must meet each of the following requirements:

Applicants must be only individuals who are United States citizens.
Applicants must be seeking admission to a U.S. graduate school beginning in fall 2018.
Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale and this grade point average must be maintained throughout participation in the program.
Applicants must enroll in a two-year, full-time master’s degree program, at U.S. based graduate institutions only, in an academic field relevant to the work of the Foreign Service.
Applicants must be able to attend June 2018 orientation in Washington, D.C.
Applicants must be available to fulfill the summer internship obligations (summer 2019 & summer 2020).
