DIY Homemade Beauty: Crayola Lipstick
Crayola Crayons color many things…including lips! Crayon lipstick is the new trend and you can make it from the privacy of your own home. A lot of store bought lipstick includes harsh chemicals and additives that can be harmful to your body, but crayons are so safe they were kid-approved and now they are homemade beauty approved.
To make your own collection, grab a few of your favorite colors from a Crayola box and tear the wrapper off of the crayon.
Now, cut up your crayons into little pieces about the same size as the picture below.
Before you do anything else, pick your mold! My favorite container to use is an old contact lens container. If you don’t have one you can use anything, including an old Carmex container, pill boxes, or an old eye shadow containers.
Next, fill up a pan with a few inches of water and boil it on the stove. Once it has boiled place it on low heat.
After that, take one small heat-safe glass bowl and place it in the middle of the pan (one bowl per color).
Once the bowl is inside the pan, add 1/4 tsp. of coconut oil and 1/4 tsp. of almond oil. Be sure to constantly stir it as it melts to ensure a smooth consistency.
Once it is melted, quickly remove your bowl from the stove and pour it into your mold. Let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes and now you have homemade Crayola Lipstick.
