“Don’t Be That Guy” Campaign Tackles Sexual Assault

Don't Be That Guy1Don’t Be That GuyUrging men to own their role and end rape is a behavioral marketing campaign that sends the message that sex without consent is sexual assault.  Launched by the Battered Women’s Support Services in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department, Bar Watch, WAVAW and BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre, the campaign displays scenarios of certain situations young adults can find themselves in when facing sexual assault.

The Campaign reinforces that just because you help someone home, they are passed out, or not in a state to say NO, does not give guys the right to, quite frankly rape them.

We support this message and encourage you to stay safe and stay with someone you trust.
