HBCU SpringComing! NYC Are You Ready?

HBCU SpringComing is set to take place in New York City from April 21st -23rd. In its third year, this annual event will host a wide range of activities throughout the weekend for everyone to enjoy. Lauren Grant, Co-Founder and Chief Experience Architect for the Grant Access says, “With seven events, we have something planned for everybody. The Innovation Lab for our academics and problem solvers, a panel discussion for the entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial-minded, and of course, some great parties.”

The black college experience is like no other, from homecoming, campus events, your personal growth, and experiences. Case in point as to why both Grant and Listen TWO Me creator, George Twopointoh decided to join forces in 2015 and host the first-ever, unprecedented, HBCU SpringComing. With the everyday hustle and bustle, they understood that the daily demands made it increasingly difficult for local HBCU grads to return to their perspective universities in the fall.

Based on the guiding principles that are deeply embedded within HBCU culture, bringing together a community to not only fellowship together but also provide service to others has catapulted this highly anticipated weekend to great heights. Since its inception, thousands from across the country flock to NYC to attend the series of events hosted by Grant and Twopointoh.

“We take great pride in our HBCUs – the traditions, the quality education and the lifelong bonds that were formed during and since our time there – and HBCU SpringComing is just one way in which we honor that experience,” Twopointoh said.

He further added, “You will see a dynamic group of socially influential, college-educated people from diverse backgrounds come together to represent their alma maters while also giving back to the community and supporting the futures of our beloved colleges and universities.” Via Huffingtonpost.com
