Join UNCF’s #HBCUFacts Social Media Campaign to Save Student Aid for HBCU Students
Here is how you can tell others about the importance of federal student aid programs to HBCUs and their students
When he met with presidents of the nation’s HBCUs in February, President Trump pledged to do more for historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) than any other president has done before; however, the FY 2018 budget blueprint is not reflective of that sentiment, as it proposes cuts to vital student aid programs that are of critical importance to the nation’s HBCUs and the nearly 300,000 students they annually serve.
UNCF has launched #HBCUFacts, a campaign to raise awareness of the impact these federal student aid programs have on our HBCUs and our students. Throughout the months of April and May, UNCF will issue social media messaging to highlight federal student aid programs that are in jeopardy.
We are asking you to join us in promoting #HBCUFacts. Our goal is to better inform Congressional leaders and the public about the importance of federal student aid programs to HBCUs, and you and your social media contacts can help.
