Kendrick Lamar To Produce Marvel’s Black Panther Soundtrack

With the likes of Jay Z,  Solange, Lorde, Raphael Saadiq , and Pharrell Williams to name a few, Kendrick Lamar is the newly selected artist along with Top Dawg Entertainment label mate, Anthony Tiffith, to produce and curate a soundtrack for a movie or scripted series. Marvel’s Black Panther is set to hit theaters Friday, February 16, 2018 with a star studded cast featuring, Michael B. Jordan, Chadwick Boseman, Angela Basset and Lupita Nyong’o.

This will be the first time Marvel Studios is creating multiple original recordings specifically for a film and Kendrick has already given us a preview of the soundtrack earlier this month as he released the Soundtrack’s debut single, “All The Stars” with label mate SZA.
