Motown Animation Series For Kids Coming to Netflix
Motown Records has had a constant presence in millions of households ever since 1959. It is impossible to deny its legacy with record breaking hits from artists like The Jackson Five, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, and more.
Netflix has teamed up with Smokey Robinson as executive producer to continue Motown’s legacy by creating an animated series for children based on the record company’s most popular hits, as reported by Billboard. The present-day artists that will be singing the 52 classic songs with a modern twist for the series will be under the expertise of Robinson.
The main character will be an 8 year-old boy named Ben that resides in a fantasy city named Motown, and the series will follow his exciting adventures of bringing street art to life. There has not been a name or a release date reported, but stay tuned because this is a series that you don’t want to miss.
