How To Prepare For Grad School as an Undergrad
If you are getting ready to graduate from your University in May. There are a lot of things going through your mind as February speeds past. Where am I going to live? What jobs am I going to apply for? Will I go back to school?
If going back to school is the next step, then there are things to think about during the application process.
What Schools to Apply For?
Do you want to stay where you are for your Masters? What will this degree be in? What are the due dates for my application? Have these things in whatever you use as a planner and stick to the due dates because the earlier you apply, the more likely you are to receive scholarship money. Find the school that ranked high for your particular program
Write a Personal Statement.
Most Graduate Schools ask for a personal statement as part of the application process. If you already have one prepared you can adjust it as necessary for that particular school.
Update Your Resume.
Your community service, experience and internships should clearly be listed for the school to see. Your resume should also include any necessary certifications that you may have. In order to condense your resume, only include relevant information.
Keep up with deadlines, pay the necessary application fees, and relax. Two degrees are better than one! You got this!
