Stephen F. Austin State University Grad Crystal Davis-Holmes Creates Empowering Talk Show “Beautiful Me TV”
Inspirational media professional, Crystal Davis-Holmes, is a 2013 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. She matriculated in Radio TV Production and minored in Business Communication and Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations. She is also an Honorable Lifetime member of the National Broadcasting Society – Aerho Chapter, and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
The Houston native has always had a passion for brightening others day, so she thought, what better way to do that than to use her calm personality, love for helping others and of course using something she has put a lot of work into, her communication skills.
With no thoughts of settling with the knowledge she’d obtained just within the classroom, she took to the deep in and landed a few internships to teach her valuable new skills that she could use in the swift growing communication and media field.
During school she had the opportunity to complete an internship with KTRE 9 in Lufkin in the News and Promotions departments and with Missouri City TV as a Producer/Videographer intern. This is where she learned a ton about producing promos and video content for the web.
Just in her mid 20s, she has work with large media publications and companies such as Radio One ( 97.9 The Box and KMJQ Majic 102.1), Houston Media Source, Urban Houston Network TV Channel 43.5 and Young Millenials of Texas.
In September 2013, she decided to create her very own talk show, then called “There Is A Beautiful Me” now entitled “Beautiful Me TV”, which focuses on empowering people through spiritual, health, and educational wellness.
“This platform provides an informative and uplifting platform to anyone seeking a positive change in their lifestyle,” Holmes said.
The talk show discusses topics pertaining to your spiritual connection, health fitness, wellness and beauty from the inside out. In Season 3 topics includes segments like, ‘Voices for Victims’, ‘Driven Vision’, ‘Live Better Inc.’, ‘Women Empowerment Foundation’ and ‘Heartwork Trending’.
In the latest episode, the producer and host talks about one of her personal testimonies. She discussed being timid in the past about sharing the message of Christ with others because she couldn’t quite figure out a way to talk to people in a way that she didn’t feel like she was a pastor. minister or head a certain title in that sense.
“Although, I don’t have a specific title, I do know that we have a responsibility to share the gospel, so I challenge you all to take that chance if you’ve ever felt the way I felt, and you were just afraid to talk about Christ publicly with anybody,” she said.
Later on in the episode she continued by talking about how she “stood firm” and was able to overcome that timidness along with advice and fun conversation with Coach Mike of Stafford Texas’ InnerGrind Fitness, an athletic fitness facility, 100% built by athletes, who shared some great tips with Holmes to help get you all toned up, and get your spring bodies SNATCHED!
“I actually got to experience doing some of these exercises myself, and I must say, I definitely felt it working afterwards,” Holmes said.
The versatility within the talk show “Beautiful Me TV” is like no other! During the same episode, Holmes also got to speak with Aservant , founder of Aservant Ministries of Waco, Texas, who is a songwriter, physician and has his own nonprofit organization! Watch a bit of both of those interviews here now!
The busy body just doesn’t stop! After graduation, she also became the Founder/Videographer of Crystalline Productions, “Pristine Beauty and Vision”. This is a service where she uses her learned skills and experience in producing, directing, editing, script writing, shooting, photo editing and videography to help others with creative minds visions come true.
One of her clients, Canince Nnanna, a Houston comedian says, “Crystal blew me away. There are few people creative enough to bring your exact ideas to life, and then there are the chosen ones, like Crystal, that make your ideas better! The best part about working with Crystal is how well she collaborates & makes herself available to create satisfaction! Her direction with my project created a final product that engaged my audience on social media through massive shares, likes, comments, and new fans. It’s great to work with a visionary who cares for the quality & mission of your project, as well as finishing it in a timely fashion. Long story short, I’m set to work with her more often!”
While Holmes is ALWAYS inspiring several on the move by telling the stories of many artists, singers, dancers, musicians, spoken word artists and more, she is yet still looking for YOU to share your gift that you love so both of you can inspire others together.
