Stillman College Fighting to Preserve Their Legacy
Financial help is on the way for Stillman College. The Tuscaloosa City Council is guaranteeing the school $665,000 dollars as part of a $1-million loan to cover operating expenses. The decision was made at a special-called meeting on Friday. Last year, Stillman cut out all athletic programs except basketball to help reduce expenses. Stillman College is fighting to stay alive and I believe it is our job to support them as they have supported us for decades.

If the school defaults on the loan, nearly half of the campus property will be turned over to the city.
