11th completed successfully.  Jenny Buzanski Football Cup
The GENIUS Charitable Foundation, with the support of the Hungarian Government and the State Secretariat for National Policy of the Prime Minister, Bethlen Gábor Alabkizilo Szrt, organized the Jenő Buzánszky Football Cup for the 11th time this year.

The namesake of the program is Jenő Buzánszky, the famous Hungarian footballer, 49-time player of the Hungarian national team, Athlete of the Nation, former midfielder of the legendary Golden Team, Olympic champion. We would like to present his work as an example for young sports talents in Transcarpathia.

The purpose of this event is to promote football, create a tradition, search for, promote and support the talents of young football players in Transcarpathia, as well as build further sports relations.

14 teams (6 in primary schools, 8 in secondary school categories) have submitted their applications for the Football Cup, with a total of 141 players and 13 coaches from 12 institutions, who on 21 October 2023 will be part of the XI. In the Jenő Buzánszky Football Cup, they tested their skills in a league system, in a 5+1 formation (small field match). Duration of play: 2 x 10 minutes.

13 boys’ teams (6 primary and 7 secondary) competed in the tournament, meaning 117 young athletes competed.

Competition venues: II. RF KMF Center for Health and Sports, II. RF KMF Higher Institute of Vocational Training and Beregszász Kossuth Lajos Lyceum.

Top scorer: Sirius Maxim

Best goalkeeper: Pal Farakoh

At the end of the tournament, all participants received a certificate of appreciation and a soccer ball. The runner-up can receive cups, medals, diplomas and ball packages.

The Genius Charitable Foundation congratulates all participants on their achievements.
