First place in MEFOB
DEAC fans transported spectators into a fantasy world.
The MEFOB Festival is the largest college sports festival, complete with numerous tournaments and entertainment sports events in order to draw attention to the importance of regular sports and the power of community building among the college age group.
Of course, the DEAC cheerleaders didn't miss the event either, as they took first place in Győr in the cheerleading team category.
– This year we chose Harry Potter and the world of Hogwarts as the theme for our practice! We wanted to bring a truly special production to the theatre, where we tried to showcase the main scenes and characters from the book and the film. We have been working on our practice for about half a year, which has led to the desired result in MEFOB – said Adrienn Ócs, head coach of the DEAC cheerleaders.
The cheerleading team is always the most spectacular and most anticipated production at competitions, but this was not our only success, as we also won gold medals in the freestyle pom team category. A strong field emerged in the team action sections, but all three of our groups were still able to stand on the podium: the DEAC Wolves finished in second place, and the Bagiras and Eagles finished in third place.
The work doesn't stop, as our fans will participate in the Hungarian Championship to be held in Gjöngyos on June 2, where they will represent the DEAC with 55 people in 9 categories.
