Born in New York in 1944, his father worked for a delivery company, but his brother, for example, was the mayor of Florida. He graduated in 1965 with a degree in history and literature, and even then he could not have predicted that he would one day become world famous. However, this happened relatively quickly. After struggling for a few years, he made his Off-Broadway debut in 1969. According to Wiki, he played on Broadway two years later. However, “Grease”, presented in 1978, brought him worldwide fame. Half the world was crazy about him, although his role was not necessarily positive. Despite this, tens of thousands of women wanted to look like him and cut their hair like the one he wore on screen. Three days before filming began, he landed the role that would make him world famous. To this day, he continues to act in theater and film, and has won an Emmy Award, among other awards, for his performance in The President's People.
