Appetizers: chicken liver pate marinated in wine
ingredients:
500g Tesco chicken liver
For the marinade:
2 dl of Tesco’s Finest Viña del Cura Rioja red wine
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon thyme
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon Stockwell & Co. pepper
For baking:
2-3 tablespoons of duck fat
1 large red onion
2 teaspoons of salt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon red pepper
1 handful of Tesco cranberries
to prepare:
Mix the spices with the wine, then add the clean liver so that the wine covers it. Place everything in the refrigerator for a few hours (or up to a whole day).
Let’s start by cooking chopped red onions in fat. Add salt and sugar, then when it becomes glassy, add the red pepper. Place the liver and dried cranberries in the onion fat and fry, covered, for approx. For 10 minutes. Meanwhile, stir occasionally.
When it’s ready, puree it all using an electric blender and then put it in a mold in which we can serve it.
Tip: Serve with fresh baguette, pomegranates, grapes and cheese.
Main course: stuffed cabbage
ingredients:
1 head of cabbage
500g Tesco pork – minced beef
200 grams of Tesco rice
600g Tesco sauerkraut
2 Tesco finest eggs
2 tablespoons Tesco tomato paste
3 red onions Tesco
3 cloves of garlic Tesco
Tesco’s finest sausages
Crushed red pepper
Stockwell & Co. Bay Leaf
Stockwell & Co. Pepper
cumin
salt
to prepare:
Cut the stem of the cabbage at the bottom, so that the head remains intact. Place the heads together in a large pot of water and begin cooking. You can help a little with a wooden spoon until the leaves begin to separate from the head in a neat row, and when they are cooked enough to fold, remove them from the water one by one and set them aside for the filling. .
Blend 1 head of red onion, 1 head of garlic, 2 eggs, and 2 tablespoons of tomato concentrate using a blender. Season and add hard rice and raw minced meat. Let’s do it all together and fill the letters with it. It is better to put smaller portions in a sheet of paper and wrap them well so that they do not leak.
Place the food in a large frying pan as follows: the fat should go to the bottom. Then add the remaining diced red onion and garlic (this can be roasted beforehand, but it’s not important), then the remaining sweet cabbage, cut into small pieces, then the sauerkraut, and a series of dumplings. From this you can also make another row, the top of which should also be covered with cabbage. Season each layer with paprika, salt, pepper, cumin, and maybe a few bay leaves. If you use sausage, bacon or some smoked meats in addition, they can also be placed between the layers.
Fill the pot very tightly and pour just enough water to cover it. Cover and cook over medium or low heat for approx. For two hours, until it’s just cooked, everything “sizzles,” but the food doesn’t burn or jump as much.
If the water boils completely, replace it, but only enough to cover. When the time is up, break down one of the dumplings and check if the rice is done.
When serving, fresh bread and sour cream should also be on the festive table.
Dessert: honey cream
ingredients:
For sponge cake:
6 Tesco finest eggs
6 tablespoons ground almonds Tesco
6 tablespoons Tesco powdered sugar
6 tablespoons Tesco wheat flour
salt
For the cream:
150g of premium Greek yoghurt from Tesco
250 grams of mascarpone
2 teaspoons honey cake spice mix
6-8 tablespoons of honey
Additional layers and decoration:
Tesco roasted and salted cashews
Tesco cherry jam
Tesco chocolate cranberry
whipped cream
to prepare:
To make a classic 6-egg sponge cake, just add 6 tablespoons of ground almonds to 6 tablespoons of flour.
Separate the eggs. Beat the protein with a pinch of salt until stiff. Mix the yolks with the sugar until foamy. Flour and ground almonds can be added to the yolks and sugar, and together with them, mix everything until smooth, then carefully add the protein in small portions.
Distribute the mass evenly on a rectangular baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Leave the sponge cake until it cools, then cut it into small cubes.
Let’s make the cream. Mix the Greek yogurt and mascarpone cheese with the honey cake spice mixture. Then come the layers.
At the bottom comes a layer of sponge cake, then a portion of cream, then a few spoonfuls of jam, and finally chopped salted cashews. This is repeated again, then more chocolate cranberries can be added to the top of the cup, and the whipped cream can be added just before serving.
This quantity is sufficient to prepare 4-6 servings, depending on the cup size.
Tip: These glasses are also from Tesco. There are also plenty of kitchen and service accessories in supermarkets.
