Austrian authorities have amended entry rules into Austria; On Friday, the Foreign Ministry said the new measures were in effect until June 30.
According to the ministry’s announcement, there are no quarantine obligations for those coming to Austria from the following countries: Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Poland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, and Luxembourg. Hungary, Malta, Monaco, Germany, Norway, Italy, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Vatican, Australia, South Korea, Israel, Singapore, New Zealand.
However, entry to Austria requires either a valid vaccination, a negative coronavirus test, or a certificate of recovery. If a citizen is unable to present any of these documents, he must take a PCR or antigen test in Austria at his own expense within 24 hours. Children younger than 10 years old do not need to be tested.
However, pre-registration (prior travel permit) is required for entry, which must be completed at https://www.oesterreich.gv.at/themen/coronavirus_in_oesterreich/pre-travel-clearance.html. When crossing the border, the confirmation of registration must be presented electronically or in hard copy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that Romanian citizens can request consular assistance from the Romanian embassy in Vienna at 0043 1503 24 65 and 0043 1505 23 81. Romanian citizens in case of emergency can call the embassy phone number 0043 699117 26027.
