Microsoft announced last summer that it was slowly saying goodbye to its long-running Internet Explorer 11 browser and then ending support for the old Edge after the release of the new Chromium-based Edge.
Redmond recently unveiled “The Next Generation of Windows”, a desktop operating system called Windows 11, cost Also Internet Explorer. Not surprisingly, the browser is completely disabled in Windows 11, and the company says that the Internet Explorer 11 desktop app will not work on the system, and the default browser will be Microsoft Edge. This is also a significant moment because Internet Explorer has been a part of every new version of Windows for over 20 years, and now ends with Windows 11.
The company had previously asked Windows 10 users to switch to Microsoft Edge, and they also announced the exact date in a blog post: They’ll say goodbye to Internet Explorer in June 2022 for good. Although Explorer (IE) was already blinded last year, users can still use the software on their device with limited functionality, this will not be possible after the deadline.
