This is how the delta virus variant controls Europe’s largest economy

According to the institute, due to the prevalence of the delta variant, vaccination of at least 85 percent in the 12-59 age group and 90 percent for those over the age of 60 is necessary to avoid another wave of epidemics.

However, the vaccination campaign has slowed in recent days. According to the federal government’s summary Thursday, an average of 669,861 doses of the vaccine were administered per day over the previous seven days. That number was still over 800,000 in mid-June.

At least one dose of the vaccine was given to 57.6 percent of the population — 478,72792 people. 40.8 percent of the population – 3,390,828 people – have fully vaccinated.

Besides the newly recorded infections, SARS-CoV-2 has been detected in 3,732,549 people in Germany. With regard to the disease caused by the (Covid-19) virus, 31 deaths were recorded in one day, bringing the number of victims of the epidemic to 91,141.
