US auto safety regulators are calling on nearly 50,000 Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle owners to park outdoors away from their homes and other facilities due to the risk of fire after charging bodies.
General Motors (GM) is also present Requested Chevrolet Bolt electric car owners should not charge the bodies overnight as it can be dangerous. Then one of the largest automakers in the United States drew attention to a potential emergency, After two cars caught fire they were recalled and searched in November.
In the 2017-2019 Chevrolet Bolt electric car, a high-voltage battery under the back seat is likely to cause a fire. Nearly 69,000 models produced by LG’s chemical plant in South Korea, 50,000 of which are for sale in the United States, had to be recalled last November due to five reported fires.
GM, on the other hand, is only in May 2021 I came across With a plan to solve the problem. The models were eventually checked and suspicious batteries replaced, and then new software was installed on them that could detect complications and avoid a possible fire. At present, however, the fixes do not appear to be sufficient to prevent the problem. The last two fires affected vehicles that had already been checked and a new program was working on them.
GM continues to investigate the fires and is asking owners to stand outdoors or not fill buildings overnight. The company remains reticent about what exactly might be causing the problem.
