The award-winning American documentary Selling Faith will screen again on Tuesday, June 22 at 8 p.m. at St. Sebastian’s Church.
The documentary depicts the phenomenon of church closings in massive proportions in the United States: it explores the causes, highlights the material considerations behind them, and exposes viewers to the sometimes heroic struggle of believers for churches that sustain society.
The film also talks about the jingle of Hungarian-American parishioners, and the dramatic confession replays the struggle to save a Hungarian Catholic church in Cleveland, which ended in victory, as the church escaped closure.
Filming will begin at 8pm on Tuesday, June 22nd at St. Sebastian’s Church.
Then, they can ask about the details and experiences of filming at the audience meeting about Viktória Somogyi, a native of Székesfehérvár but living in Rome, editor of Vatican Radio, and director and producer of “Selling Faith”. The discussion will be moderated by journalist Lagos Fackler.
