Cash prizes for gold, silver, and bronze Olympic medals were raised.
The Hungarian government increased the amount of state awards for outstanding sports results, so that the Olympic gold medal was already 50 million HUF instead of the previous 35. Athletes will receive 35.7 million HUF for the silver and 28.5 million HUF for the bronze.
