Investor Communication Remedy Entertainment reported that their 2019 game, Control, was a huge hit at the end. According to their report, the odd-looking action game has already been played by more than 10 million users, which makes the studio optimistic about the future.
According to the report, Control’s revenue was slightly better in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the second quarter of 2020. This is due to the company’s continued marketing efforts, the release of Control Ultimate Edition Google Stadium, and the Mega Sale promotion of the game in the Epic Game Store. It is believed that the Control brand has now received more attention and will continue to support it in the future.
The Finnish team also celebrated the anniversary of its current projects. Their game, developed with the support of Epic Games, is now in full swing, and a publishing and development agreement has been signed with 505 Games for Control Cooperative Multiplayer Side Drive. In addition, they have agreed with the Italian publisher that in the future they will use them to make a larger budget game that takes place in the world of Control. Then there are the storytelling game modes in Crossfire HD and Crossfire X, their other smaller game made with Epic Games, and the free-to-play and co-op Vanguard. The latter is already subject to closed testing.
So the developers of Remedy have so much to do, it’s no wonder that they now employ 293 people.
