The fact that two former rectors of the Academy were awarded the Order of St. Stephen also rewards participants in Hungarian sciences – confirmed Szizichenyi E. Szizi, Ph.D., brain researcher, pharmacist and former president of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

The most prestigious official award was presented on August 20 by President Janos Ader at Sandor Palace. The Order of Szent István recognized the profession of research, teaching and science promotion activities on New Year’s Eve Fez.

The Széchenyi Grand Prix and the award-winning physician Széchenyi, Professor of Research, reminded that he showed great interest in the things of the world since his childhood, searching for the causes and relationships of this phenomenon. This quality helped him to become a researcher and doctor-researcher, thanks to which he is now awarded the Order of St. Stephen.

A special bonus in medicine is that one can explore connections with which to help others. I’m lucky because I also had this opportunityNote the famous brain researcher.

He noted that he began his studies at the Medical University of Pécs, where he was greatly influenced by the work of the pharmacist Laszlo Czolnocki. He subsequently moved to Budapest and graduated from the University of Medicine, after which he became a teaching assistant at the University’s Institute of Pharmacy. There he met Bella Isikutz, the school’s establishment figure in pharmaceutical chemistry research, which influenced his interest in brain research.

The neuroscientist has conducted world-renowned research in the field of central and peripheral nervous system neurotransmission and chemotherapy for nerve transmission. He also worked at Oxford as a colleague of the world-renowned pharmacologist Sir William Patton. “It was the scientist who probably had the greatest impact on me, he taught me what true and effective research thinking is,” the brain researcher recalls.

New Year’s Eve in Oxford came to a conclusion that contradicts previous data, on the basis of which he developed a new model of brain function. According to him, this is considered one of the most outstanding achievements of his career. The essence of the model is that there is a form of conversation between the neural networks, the possibility of exchanging connections, thanks to which the neurons do not have to be close to each other, but can also exert their influence on each other at a distance. It is to explain.

“This assumption led me to be able to describe the analog communication system of the human brain, which means that different versions of the nervous system can permanently affect each other but also our immune system from a distance,” he added. “This is very different from a brain model that thinks and works in a digital system,” he added. Imbalance of the two systems can lead to various neurological and psychiatric diseases.

In addition to research work, the scientist described the sharing of acquired knowledge with students and the dissemination of scientific knowledge as a task of particular importance.

I advise young researchers today to notice something unexpected in their work. If the researcher observes a phenomenon independent of the data of the textbook and the law, and even denies it, then he has a real discovery on his hands. Because discovery always denies the old, always illuminates a new side of the truth, and there comes a moment in the life of every researcher when he finds something interesting. This is what you need to pay attention to!– Doctrine of E. Vizi E. New Year.
