Index – Economy – Have you ever declared your tax refund?

András Tállai told MTI that nearly two million parents are entitled to a family tax refund, and families with children can expect an additional HUF 600 billion in income next year.

The Minister of State for Financial Affairs added that by noon on Friday, nearly 210,000 people had viewed and more than 134,000 people had finished an online statement allowing parents to submit their data to pay the tax refund on February 15, 2022.

Parliamentary Secretary of State at the Ministry of Finance has stated that the so-called declaration of return should be completed and returned only by those who are entitled to the family allowance but who are not receiving the family allowance by December 31 this year.

András Tállai also spoke about the fact that 2.3 million people filed 1% of their taxes this year, which means about 140,000 people received personal income tax compared to last year. NGOs and churches will be able to get more money in the coming year, as more and more donations are made each year, and those affected will lose one percent of the family tax refund.

At the time of the coronavirus pandemic, the parade is a huge help for churches and NGOs. The foreign minister stressed that this was the reason why the government had decided that the one percent lost due to a family tax refund could be counted next year. This amount is received by non-governmental and ecclesiastical organizations, reimbursed by the state as budgetary support. So parents can claim up to 1 + 1 percent of their tax refund.
