The government just distributes hard

Between 2019 and 2021, the government will include 150 municipalities in this program, but will reduce further development to 50 municipalities. For those, HUF 10 billion from the start-up program must be transferred from next year’s budget by January 31. Among the fifty settlements, among the settlements of Salt, Isaac, Rudabania, Hortopaji, Sorgo, Balatonboğlar and Sumeg. The amount allocated to each settlement was not included in the decision.

In another decision, the government increased its support for Visprem as the European Capital of Culture 2023. Originally, in 2022, the budget was 5.5 billion HUF for software development and 17 billion HUF for infrastructure development, for a total of 22.5 billion HUF. Now the development of the program has increased to 8 billion Ft 770 million and the infrastructure development to 31 billion Ft 741 million Ft. Together, the two account for 311741 million.

In addition, the government agreed to support the production of a feature film under the title Balaton under the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme. It approved HUF 30 million from the Economic Restart Fund.

The government has also taken steps to provide immediate investments in certain settlements with a population of over 5,000. 5 billion HUF and 675 million HUF can be spent on this from the Economic Restart Fund, with an immediate deadline.

Of the 32 settlements on the list, the municipality of Ksorna received the most money – 617 million forints – to support urban rehabilitation tasks. Budakeszi received $555 million to renovate roads, replace the overhead network with underground cable, and renovate public lighting. Less than Solymár received, 28.6 million could be spent on building a public park.

However, some settlements with a population of over 5,000 residents received a total of HUF 183 million for their education investments. The Economic Reboot Fund is also the source of this. There are 100 municipalities on the list here, so support is very fragmented. Most of them went to the primary school Izbég, which could spend 176 million to renovate the gymnasium. Matias Hunyadi Primary School in Uruszlanyi received 98 million HUF for the renovation of the sports arena.
