From January 1, in all FKF collection systems (separate collection of waste to the home, collection islands and residential waste yards), cartons of drinks such as Tetrapak will be transferred to mixed packaging waste, i.e. it will only be disposed of in yellow lids, while in blue lids it can Only clean waste paper collection, the company announced. This eliminates the need for additional sorting of separately collected clean paper (eg newspaper, corrugated paper, wrapping paper or crumbled cardboard), which also speeds up and facilitates the recycling process.
The change concerns the collection of layered beverage cans of different materials: cans of some dairy products and juices will then have to be thrown into the trash with a yellow lid next to waste plastic and metal packaging, collapsed beverage cans, PET cans, metal beverage cans and plastic bags. However, the public was specifically warned that only packaging materials can be collected in the container with the yellow cap, so no other plastic and metal utensils should be placed in it.
