The first part of his double album Magidom Rethinked has been released. The six-track album features the band’s previous favorite tracks in reinterpreted versions colored with string and wind instruments. The songs can also be heard live at Müpa on January 21 at the Magidom Experience near the concert, which promises to be a real treat. In addition to the band members, guest musicians, actor, and visual artist complete Magidom’s vision.
Magidom has been in business since 2010, and the band, moving in the style of alternative pop music, consists of a brother couple, a cousin and two friends. Their numbers are variedAnd But what they all have in common is their historical character. Each of their songs encapsulates a separate world and a sense of life that we can easily translate into our own lives as a student. their topics They range from social criticism to self-irony, all expressed in a humorous and lyrical style. That is why their stage performance at Müpa on January 21 can be a sobering experience, as they perform their favorite songs with the help of guest musicians, complemented by actress Brigitta Enyed, who pairs the songs as a kind of stage master. It fills you with life.
This is an unusual and exciting concept on the part of the ensemble, which we asked Bernat Binet, the evening’s director, who is associated with many members of the orchestra, but also objectively sympathetic to, that Magidom is not stuck and dares to experiment.
They do what they do with passion, I really love them for that. It was the little brother of Tomorrow’s party a few years ago, when we actually added the stage line to the performance at the Danube Palace with the help of Birgitta Egged. We’ve tried mixing genres, but now everything is in a different space and shape, and half of the songs have been replaced. But it was already proven that concert and theater would stop side by side, to which the Müpa scene was added, which logically followed to pay attention to the visual part as well, so came the fine arts thread. As a director, it was a challenge how to put the songs together without imposing a historical arc between the songs, but still a crossover theme. Various branches of art help us to do this, not to have a classic climax-filled dramatic performance, but to say and add something.

Songwriter and singer Binet Robbie said of the new album:
With Record Rethink, our goal was to make an extraordinary imprint on our ten-year-old orchestral history. The selection of some of the audience’s favorite songs was straightforward, but we have quite a few older songs that didn’t reach many people that year, but we love them so much, so we want to introduce them to their fans on their new page on this album. We worked on songs with our strong friend Marcy, and in the meantime came up with more and more possibilities of musical instruments, so we will finally release the album in the form of two singles with different moods. The now-released material will feature a reinterpretation of the Wind series, inspired by the classics, and a smaller parade of Styles is expected in the second half of the album, scheduled for February.
