Life in some parts of the UK has been brought to a standstill by storm cycling in Eunice, with gusts of up to 150 kph. Schools were closed and many flights canceled. The Met Office has issued a red alert for the south Wales coast.

The storm is one of the worst in decades, with dozens of flights canceled in the island nation. The clone of Storm Eunice cut power lines and trees, with schools closed in the most dangerous areas.

Many flights were canceled and arrivals were diverted to another airport due to a strong wind storm.

The British Meteorological Institute, which has been warning the public for days of the impending storm on Friday, covers large areas of London, southeast and eastern England, Devon, Cornwall and Somerset in southwest England, and the coast of South Wales has ordered a very rare and highest red alert. Winds of 150 km/h were measured on the Isle of Wight off the coast of southern England.
