All this means that the project will be a completely accurate life-size version of the UK, only in Minecraft and blocks. The latest team video includes Berkswell, Stevenage, Llandudno, Gravesend and many other cities. BTE stands for Build the Earth and it doesn’t just work in the UK. France and Germany are also under development, with the goal of eventually building the whole land. Of course, it’s all in a 1:1 ratio. It’s especially impressive considering just how big it is to do the same for New York City.
The project started in 2020 and has been regularly sharing updates on TikTok and YouTube ever since. You can watch videos from the team on how each area was built, as well as groups like the ones above that show some progress by showing the highlights of each site. Among them the Tower of London, Halifax, Wembley Stadium, Blackfriars and HMS Belfast have been completed so far to name a few, but of course there is still a lot of development in progress.
