The GT Neo3 150W battery does not give up even after 1,600 charge cycles.
The announcement of the arrival of fast-charging 150W turbocharged mobile phones by two subsidiaries of China’s BBK Electronics, OnePlus and Realme, was one of the main attractions of the Mobile Word 2022 conference in Barcelona.
Among the two, Realme finally brought its first swallow in the form of the recently unveiled GT Neo3 150W, with the manufacturer promising that heavy use of UltraDart fast charging won’t knock its battery out.
The built-in 4,500 mAh battery retains 80% of its capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles, which is very good compared to the fact that the Xiaomi 11T Pro, which can be charged at 120W, only guarantees this for up to 800 cycles. The good news is that the charger for the 150W power supply is also hidden in the box. Pumping a fully empty battery only takes 5 minutes to reach 50%, but no data was provided by the manufacturer to charge it to 100%. An 80W and 5000 mAh version of the device will also be launched, which will also be launched under the GT Neo3 name.
As for the other features of Android 12 mobile phones, both versions are powered by the mid-range MediaTek 8100 (5nm) chip and feature a 6.7-inch, 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED panel with an under-display fingerprint with a reader. The 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization serves as the primary camera in the triple-lens rear panel system. The GT Neo3 comes with 6 or 8 GB of memory, depending on the storage (128/256 GB), and the GT Neo3 150W comes with 8/12 GB and UFS 3.1 storage.
The Realme GT Neo3 starts at $360 (net £121,000) and the 150W fast charging version starts at $408 ($137,000 net), but it’s only sold in China so far, and there’s no news of an international launch date.
