However, the richest man in the world did not join the board of directors, but he is still the largest shareholder.
What do I announce?
Elon Musk has yet to join the Twitter board, BBC writes. The decision was announced by CEO Parag Agrawal in a Twitter post. Musk’s appointment was supposed to go into effect on Saturday after he announced last week that he had bought a 9.2 percent stake in the social media platform.
Over the weekend, the billionaire proposed several changes (such as lowering prices, blocking ads, paying with dogecoin) to Twitter Blue’s premium subscription service.
This isn’t the first time Musk has talked about changing the way Twitter works, he’s criticized the site many times before (even before investing). Billionaire says Twitter restricts freedom of expression. Like Donald Trump, he even talked about launching his own social media page.
