Hungary is one of the most miserable countries in the world

The world happiness map of the survey company Ipsos has been published, according to which the Netherlands is the happiest country in the world, followed by Australia and China, as well as Great Britain.

Ipsos asked residents of 30 countries how happy they feel, how this has changed, and what they consider to be a source of happiness. Percentage scale showing the percentage of the population who consider themselves “extremely” or “rather” happy – survey results RTL.hu.

The Netherlands leads the list of the happiest countries with 86%, followed by Australia with 85% and Britain and China with 83%.

India, France, Saudi Arabia and Canada are followed in the top three, so we can say that happy countries have strong economies and high levels of prosperity. While it is true that India and China may be an exception to a large proportion of their poor population, cultural endowments may also play a role.

At the other end of the line are three unhappy countries: 42 percent of Turkey’s population consider themselves happy, 48 percent in Argentina and just 51 percent in Hungary.

According to a survey by Ipsos, the global happiness prevalence rate is now not only higher than it was in mid-2020, a few months after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, but also compared to the months before the pandemic, mid-2019.

According to surveys, people all over the world consider their health and well-being (physical and mental), their families (partner/spouse and children) and determination as the main sources of happiness.

This is followed by their living conditions, a sense of security and control, being in nature, purposeful work and more money. Research has found that using social media or politics, for example, does not improve the happiness of global citizens.
