FIFA President Gianni Infantino arrived in Mexico on Wednesday to host a field trip with one of the 2026 World Cup co-organizers, MTI reports.

Infantino and the FIFA delegation were hosted on behalf of the hosts by Yon de Luisa, President and Secretary General of the organization, and Migueliano Reyes, representative of Latin America and the Caribbean, among others. Deputy Minister of State for Regional Affairs.
In addition to the condition of the three World Cup stadiums, the FIFA delegation is also studying the infrastructure of the respective cities, including accommodation, transportation and public safety.
Last year, a delegation from FIFA visited the country and provided comments and suggestions on what needs improvement and improvement.
Infantino is expected to meet with Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, President of Mexico, and Claudia Sheinbaum, mayor of the capital.
The United States and Canada will host the 2026 World Cup in addition to Mexico, with matches to be held in Monterrey and Guadalajara alongside Mexico City.
