On Thursday, de Blasio promised that the perpetrators of the attack would be held accountable.

“Look, we have to teach our youth better all the time,” he said, “It is a duty for all of us but we also have to have consequences, so there will be consequences in this case.” “I don’t want to see something like this in New York City.”

Police told Fox News that they had received a report of a damaged car in the Fifth Avenue and East 21st Street at around 4 pm, but the suspects fled the scene.
