The US national soccer team, as host, defeated a Moroccan squad similar to the World Cup in a prep match Wednesday in Cincinnati, MTI writes.

The hosts were already 2-0 up during the break – the second goal was scored by Timothy Weah, son of former Liberian Golden Ball member George Weah, a Lille team member – while their third defeat came from a penalty kick in the 64th minute. The latter is the advantage of rookie Alhaji Wright .
The away team – whose home defender Ferencvaros Sami Mami spent 70 minutes on the field – could have embellished the penalty, but the opportunity was missed.
US captain Christian Pulisic, the 23-year-old Chelsea striker, complained after the meeting that there were only 19,512 spectators at the stadium.
In the Qatar tournament, which kicks off on November 21, the United States will be in Group B, along with England and Iran, and the winners of the substitution match between Wales and Ukraine. Morocco was placed in Group F along with Belgium, Canada and Croatia.
