The CEO of Netflix spoke again about the fact that traditional television will soon be fading away.
It is true that we are also writing more and more about movies and series, regarding the new online streaming service. Also in Hungary, the offer is increasingly expanding, and in addition to Netflix and HBO MAX, we can choose from a host of other services. And today’s youth demand it themselves, if we dare to assume that they watch a traditional TV channel. Yes, yes, and for some reason they do not like Hungarian dubbing either. Anyway, many people may think that TV broadcasting doesn’t make sense anymore, there are too many commercials, and you can’t watch one movie at once. By the way, that’s what the head of Netflix thinks, too.
CEO Reed Hastings says it’s time for traditional television to die.
“Netflix is in a good position because traditional TV ‘will die in 5-10 years’“- Tell.
So the CEO believes that in 5-10 years no one will be watching traditional TV. It is important to remember that Netflix is not in a good position, they recently announced that they have lost a lot of subscribers, and they are trying to come back in different ways. They offer cheap packages that are saturated with ads and you have to pay money to share the password.

It is also worth noting that Hastings has already made a similar statement several times: in his opinion, it is only a matter of time, traditional television will cease to exist in people’s lives, and everyone will switch to streaming services. How right he is in this, only time can tell, in any case, that there are countries and regions where there is a place for traditional television, in fact: there is no other.
In Hungary, the older age group still watches traditional TV, and they rarely spend time watching subscription streaming services. Let’s also not forget that TV does not always need the Internet, so when it is not really available, traditional TV is still there.
My example is that on weekends, for example, we can only watch Formula 1 at Balaton’s vacation home on traditional TV. So Netflix and its peers are not good for everything. incorrect?
