Movie news – Enola Holmes 2 will continue to make Millie Bobby Brown the main character – i.e. Sherlock’s sister – while Henry Cavill will return as Sherlock.
The first poster for the upcoming Netflix sequel, Enola Holmes 2, features the return of Millie Bobby Brown as the titular detective, Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, and Helena Bonham Carter as Eodoria Holmes, among others. The first movie, Enola Holmes, released in September 2020, introduced audiences to the lesser-known brother of the Holmes family.
Adapted from the crime thriller book series of the same name by Nancy Springer, Enola Holmes tells the adventures of Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister, Enola, who decides to become a super detective after her mother’s disappearance. She flees to London, where she builds her career as an undercover private investigator, specializing in missing people, but Enola also has to prove herself to her brothers, who try to set her up and make her match their expectations.
In the film directed by Harry Bradbeer from a screenplay by Jack Thorne, Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown plays the titular super detective, and the other main role is played by Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes. Additional supporting actors include Sam Claflin, Helena Bonham Carter, Louis Partridge, Bourne Gorman, Adil Akhtar, Susie Wakuma, Hattie Morahan and David Bamber. Many of them are expected to return in the next sequel.

In the sequel, we can follow the title character once again as he solves his dangerous case. Now working as a private investigator like her infamous brother, Enola Holmes takes on her first official case, the search for a missing girl, while the spark of a dangerous plot sparks a mystery that requires the help of friends – and Sherlock himself – to unravel. Enola Holmes 2 is scheduled to be released on Netflix in late 2022.
