Residents of the town of Ford Chandler in southern England were surprised when they noticed on Thursday that a 5.5-meter Burmese python was trying to climb through an apartment window. Jenny Warwick, who lives across the street, told the BBC that when she looked out the window, she didn’t even realize what might have climbed up the roof of the next door at first. “I saw them trying to pull it off, and finally the huge animal fell on top of a car. Only passing people looked at him, not wanting to believe their eyes.“
It was suspicious that the creeper had escaped from a nearby house. The alarm was terminated by a neighbor who recognized the snake and returned it to its original owner. “MEveryone panicked. I picked it up, but no one wanted to help, so it was very difficult to carry it all the way. Finally, I knocked on the owner’s door with itLinda Elmer recounted the process. “They are beautiful animals, and Burma snakes are very gentle and not aggressive anyway. I had one too, so I took it easy” he added.
The RSPCA previously called on snake owners to keep their animals in safe places, because hot weather makes them restless, increasing the risk of escape. (BBC)
