The Swedish and Czech national teams won the Hungarian interest group on the third day of the Women’s Ice Hockey World Championships in Denmark, on Saturday.
In the 53rd minute, the Swedes still had a three-goal advantage, but the Germans saved the match for extra time with three men’s strikes – with the goalkeeper dropping in the last one – but the Scandinavians were better on penalties.
Hungary, which was on holiday, beat the Germans 4-2 on Thursday and lost to the Czechs 7-1 on Friday. The bottom five will be relegated to Division A/A, while the top three will continue into the quarter-finals.
