Alfa Romeo has revealed that Csou Kuan will be Valtteri Bottas’ team manager again in 2023.
The 23-year-old made his Formula 1 debut during the Cana Belta season, and has managed to finish on points three times so far. At the season opener, he had several bad luck, and later in Canada he was able to finish the race in eighth place. In the last Monza race, Alfa Romeo completed a series of six races without a goal.
“I can’t wait to continue working with Csou. From the first day he joined the team when he auditioned in Abu Dhabi last year, he has been impressed by his work ethic, which is always a very positive trait. We knew he was fast, but the way he has adapted to Formula 1 in such a short time has been one of the most positive surprises of our season. – He said Team captain Frederic Vasseur. A kind hearted person. Everyone on the team loves their attitude and behaviour. He has the ability to ask questions and learn from both Mrnkkt and Valtterit, as well as the intelligence to use all the information he gains in order to better himself from competition to competition. He will be able to build on this experience next season and I am confident he will do even better as we continue to develop our team.”
“I am happy and grateful to Alfa Rome for the opportunity to be a member of the team in an even better season,” said Csou, who wears the special helmet coating you can see above at the Singapore Grand Prix. Getting into Formula 1 was a real dream, and the fact that I raced for the first time will always be with me: The team was incredibly supportive from day one and helped me adapt to the toughest motorsport in the world. We want to achieve more in the sport with this team, and working hard at the beginning of the summer is just the first step, as we want to get to next season. We still have a lot to learn and develop, but I am confident in our work: I can’t wait for the next chapter in our shared history! “
With Csou’s appointment, the number of vacancies on the 2023 team has been reduced to three: Esteban Ocon will join Alpine, Kevin Magnussen will join Haas, and Alexander Albon will join Williams.
