Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies will also be a member of the Canadian national team at the World Cup in Qatar, which will be held next Sunday.
On Sunday, the captain of the federation, John Herdman, announced his 26-man squad, to which Bayern Munich star Alfonso Davies was invited, as well as the 39-year-old captain of the Canadian national team, Atiba Hutchinson, who recently suffered an injury. He will be the oldest player in this year’s World Cup.
The last time Canada was there – like Hungary – was in 1986, at the World Cup in Mexico, when they were eliminated without a goal.
The Canadian team will be in Group F, along with Belgium, Morocco and Croatia, the silver medalists in the World Cup.
