Biological men can also enter women’s weightlifting competitions

Recently, a transgender athlete named JayCee Cooper won a discrimination lawsuit against USA Powerlifting. The association banned her from competing in women’s competitions as transgender, according to V4NA.

The court ordered the assembly to eliminate all unfair practices related to sexual orientation and gender identity. The organization must review its policy on these issues in two weeks, which means trans athletes who were born male will be able to compete in the female categories.

The organization had previously banned transgender contestants from competing in cross-gender races, so Cooper filed a complaint in 2019, alleging that the organization violated human rights laws. Then he filed a lawsuit in 2021.

However, it is not just among weightlifters that there are problems with biological males infiltrating women’s sports. Recently, a high school basketball team in Vermont refused to play in a game because the opposing team featured a transgender player.

We have withdrawn from the tournament because we believe that playing an opponent with a biological male in their ranks threatens the integrity of the game and the safety of our players. Allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports sets a bad precedent for the future of women’s sports

teacher Vicki Fogg said in a statement.
