Steam offers an option that many have been waiting for – and Dead Space is the game to start with.
Valve is constantly updating Steam to bring new games, new features, and new tools to players and sellers alike. As of today, it looks like another such feature is in the works.
Game demos and gameplay experiences are slightly different. Demos usually include a small slice of the game that players can try before they buy (see Street Fighter 6 demo). In comparison, game experiences include the full game. However, you can only play with it for a certain amount of time before you have to buy or remove it. Nintendo has already done the latter with games like ARMS, for example. Now the game tests are also coming to Steam. These features allow users to test whether or not a future purchase is worth it.
The first game to feature a 90-minute experience will be the legendary Dead Space, as seen below.
Thanks to Steam Game Trials, you can play the selected game for free for 90 minutes. Next comes the game purchase request. It’s a bit short, but it does allow players to see the opening scene and take control of Isaac Clarke when he first steps aboard the USS Ishimura. Additionally, players must purchase the game to continue.
the Dead Space remake Accessing your free trial is very easy. Simply find the game in the Steam store and select the button labeled “Try Dead Space – Free Trial”. What makes it even better is that if you buy the game, it is currently on sale for 20% off on Steam until May 29, 2023. However, it is unknown if this game is available to try for EA Play members. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | users cannot S access this free trial. The discount rate is not available on other platforms.
