Biden also said he has not spoken to President Xi since he was in office in late January. On the other hand, he said he knew Xi well because he spent more time with him during his deputy’s tenure than he did with any other foreign leader.
He has a very sharp and intelligent personality, and – I don’t intend to be critiquing this, it’s true – he lacks a democratic vein.

Last week, Biden said he wanted to work more closely with China on international cooperation. “We will eradicate the abusive Chinese economic practices.” However, he also said that he is ready to work with China when necessary.
Although Biden has yet to agree with Hussey yet, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has already contacted his Chinese counterpart, Jang Jixi.
