A palm-sized drone has been introduced that is equipped with a video camera that can take selfies or follow the user for perfect aerial shots. The hinged structure allows the Hover Camera X1 to fold into a 125g, 127mm x 86mm x 31mm package when not in use. The protective covering around the propellers also allows them to be taken off without the risk of injury from the user’s hands.
The drone, which is manufactured in California, can be controlled remotely and set to pre-programmed flight modes using a smartphone app. What is new about Hungarian is that it can be used without manual control. Using a button on the drone itself, users can choose from five flight modes. These include hover, tracking where the device has moved behind a moving user; zoom, when it starts close to the user and then pans out again to get a wider shot; Spin, when it flies in circles around the user, and bird’s eye, when it’s looking straight down at the user from above.
