Double world champion Max Verstappen, Dutch Red Bull driver, won Saturday’s qualifying session for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix, so he will be able to start from pole in Sunday’s race.
It is fourth place for the 25-year-old Dutchman, who currently leads the world championship points race, 39 points ahead of Perez.
With this, Verstappen overtook two three-time world champions, Austrian Niki Lauda and Brazilian Nelson Piquet, who both had 24 victories in training.

Next to Verstappen, Carlos Sainz, who appeared in front of the home crowd, will be able to start for Ferrari, while third place will go to Lando Norris, the British McLaren driver, who ran a great lap at the end of Q3.
Surprisingly, Sergio Pérez, who finished second overall, only got an 11th-place start after driving a Red Bull-Honda into a puddle and sliding into the gravel bed.
Due to a misunderstanding with teammate Hamilton, George Russell (Mercedes) who collided at the finish line would only be able to finish 12th and Charles Leclerc only 19th on the grid.
To his surprise, the Ferrari driver from Monaco was eliminated in the first stage of qualifying (Q1) due to problems with setting up the car.
The 66-lap Spanish Grand Prix starts on Sunday at 15:00, and the race will be broadcast live via M4 Sport and M4sport.hu.
