The king of gypsies rudely insulted the world champion in heavyweight boxing of Ukraine

In The Ring magazine, it is a great honor to lead the world rankings independently of weight groups, and so far only two heavyweight boxers have received this title. For the first time in 1989, it was Mike Tyson, and in May of this year, Oshik regained the first place from the Japanese bantamweight Naoya Inoue.

And this is not to the liking of Tyson Fury – the British wrestler was born in 1988, and this first name was given to him by his father, who was also involved in boxing, for a reason – who announced his retirement on April 23 after the expulsion of his compatriot. Dillian White as WBC World Champion But the title unification match was always floating before his eyes, which he was already fantasizing about against Anthony Joshua. However, his compatriot lost to Oshik last year on September 25th and again on August 20th. And the Ukrainian indicated immediately after his victory last Saturday that he wanted to fight anger.

Since then, Fury, who calls himself the King of the Gypsies, clearly indicated that he would also be in the fight, but at the same time he made a surprising condition.

– I tell everyone who wants this match that I will give them seven days to show the money until the first of September, because I am already retired. All offers must be submitted to my attorney in writing, with proof of financial support. Let the game begin, wrote Fury on his social media page, who said in a previous interview that he would like to get five hundred million pounds for a fight against Oszyk.

The stakes in the Uszik-Fury match will be colossal, since the winner will own the world championship belts of all major organizations, that is, he will become the undisputed world champion. The last time Lennox Lewis could say this about himself was in 1999/2000, and to date there have been a total of five undisputed world heavyweight champions: Mike Tyson, Buster Douglas, Evander Holyfield, Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis. In 1990, Douglas unexpectedly knocked out Tyson, who had previously defended his titles six times, but Holyfield easily dealt with him in his next match. After three title defenses, Holyfield lost to Bowe in 1992, who vacated the WBC title, did not win with Lewis, and threw his belt in the trash at a press conference. Lewis reunited the world titles by defeating Holyfield in 1999, after which the belts “broke up” again, Lewis was stripped of his WBA belt for not boxing the mandatory challenger John Ruiz. It’s not easy to keep track of the belts’ trajectory, but if the Uszik-Fury match happens, they’ll be on one hand again.

Loud Tyson Fury, who knocked out Deontay Wilder twice before defeating Whyte, spoke disparagingly of Uszik, whom he doesn’t consider a true heavyweight, in an interview with talkSport. In fact, the Ukrainian became the undisputed champion at cruiserweight, at a lower weight class, and had only fought two fights at heavyweight before his first fight against Joshua. But he twice dealt with his 110-kilogram opponent, who was 10 kilograms heavier.
