Previously, there were rumors of a brand new, more powerful Exynos chip, but Bluetooth permissions show otherwise.
A few weeks ago, news came out that Samsung might replace the Exynos W920 chip used in the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 with a much more powerful chip, called the Exynos W980. However, based on the Bluetooth SIG database, it appears that the Watch 6 that will be introduced on July 26 will remain with the already selected chip, because the Exynos model number of the new watch is S5E5515, which is the same as that of the W920. Based on previous information, the new Exynos in wearable devices can be 10% faster, and the chip made with 5nm manufacturing technology can be called W930.

Data from the Bluetooth SIG reveals that the W930 will also support Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi connections, for which the processor will receive a separate radio frequency module. The Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic can use One UI 5 based on Wear OS 4, with similarly sized batteries as the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro models. Although the Watch 6 doesn’t change much on the outside, the Watch 6 Classic may bring back the scrollable bezel, making it easier to navigate the system.
