A former Respawn Entertainment employee shared several details about the game.
Almost 7 years have passed since the release of Titanfall 2, which is still often cited as one of the best first-person shooter adventures. Both the single and multiplayer modes have been a huge hit with gamers who have bought over 4 million copies of the game. It is no coincidence that many people have been waiting for the moment when EA steps up and announces the continuation of the iconic series. However, as it turns out, the chance of this is currently very small.
This news came via an interview given by Mohammed Alavi, a former developer at Respawn, in which he explained that they had been working on the second part of Titanfall for exactly 10 months in full swing when they decided to stop the project.
By this time, Alavi had already risen to the position of the game’s narrative designer, and after many discussions with the team, they came to the conclusion that they could finish Titanfall 3, which could be a slightly better sequel to the previous part, or they could implement the massive Battle Royale promised and already in place. In the Titanfall game world that we now know as Apex Legends.
Alavi and the Respawn team seem to have a sense for things, as Apex currently has over 60 million active players and growing every day. In any case, based on this, it is also certain that without Titanfall there would be no Apex, however, we currently do not see many opportunities for a possible sequel, especially since in recent years the Respawn team has started another ambitious project with the adventures of Cal and BD-1 .
Do you still see an opportunity for Titanfall 3?
